Adam’s Sexy Bribe

Adam Croasdell bribed ‘EastEnders’ bosses so he could get close to his stunning co-stars.

The hunky actor – who played Dr. Al Jenkins in the BBC One programme – persuaded the writers to pen saucy storylines for his alter-ego so he could be “set up” with the show’s beautiful actresses, a technique he plans to use forever more.

He told BANG Showbiz: “Being referred to as a heartthrob is definitely strange. But I think the sort of bribe that I gave the writers on ‘EastEnders’ – to set me up with all the girls in the show – was great. I’m definitely going to do that on every programme I’m on from now on!”

During his stint on the Walford-based soap, Dr. Al snuggled up to both single mum barmaid Roxy and her love-rival Chelsea.

‘Walford Love Plots Were Great’

Former EastEnders star Adam Croasdell has revealed that he loved being part of romantic storylines on the BBC soap.

The actor’s alter ego Dr Al Jenkins, who was seen on screen for the final time last night, enjoyed attention from Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons), Tanya Branning (Jo Joyner) and Chelsea Fox (Tiana Benjamin) during his nine-month stint on the programme.

Admitting that he was keen for his character to be successful with the ladies, Croasdell told BANG Showbiz: “Being referred to as a heartthrob is definitely strange. But I think the sort of bribe that I gave the writers on EastEnders – to set me up with all the girls in the show – was great. I’m definitely going to do that on every programme I’m on from now on!”

Eastenders Updates

After a run-in with Billy, Roxy’s close to tears and calls Dr Al for some support. Al, however, has some news of his own – he’s going to a meeting as the partners at the practice are making life difficult for him.

Airs Tuesday, 2 February.

Future Romance For ‘EastEnders’ Roxy Mitchell?

Roxy’s romance with Dr Al in EastEnders comes to an abrupt end during next week’s episodes when he’s resigns from his post over complaints about his conduct – even though Roxy wasn’t registered at the practice.

They weren’t really going anywhere and when Roxy discovered that she’d inherited £3 million and The Vic, Al was well and truly pushed on to the back burner.

So what does the woman behind the character think about Roxy’s lacklustre love life?

Dr Al’s leaving, so that removed any possibility of a romance with him – do you think Roxy will ever be lucky in love again?
“Roxy nearly settled down and once again it was ripped away from her! It’s a shame, though, because the public seemed to really like Roxy and Al together. It was just bad timing that he was going. I guess Roxy can have a bit more fun now. Not that I’ve seen anything in the scripts, though! What’s so funny is that people are so quick to say ‘Roxy’s the Square’s bike’ or ‘the slapper’ but her sister’s going around pricking condoms and sleeping with anything with a pulse! Roxy’s been like a spinster since Sean left and the first bit of action she gets is the doctor.”

Eastenders Tonight

Dr Al, meanwhile, tries to console Roxy. Later in the Minute Mart, Roxy’s near breaking point and Dr Al finds her complaining that they don’t sell sugar mice – as they’re what Archie used to buy her as a child. Roxy breaks down in Al’s arms, questioning why Archie never told her about his cancer. Janine’s stunned to overhear the news.

Peggy hands over a bag of sugar mice that Dr Al left earlier in the day, before apologising for not saying anything about Archie’s cancer. Roxy accepts her aunt’s apology and agrees that she can attend the funeral.

Children In Need Special

I realised I never posted about this! And I also made screencaps.
